In a country like India where rural health facilities are not up to the mark and people are devoid of latest diagnostic and therapeutic modalities, it becomes our duty to render services in these small towns and villages so that patients can get benefit of our specialized services and can be cured of diseases at early stage. Head and neck cancers are most common type of cancers in India, and major cause of this is tobacco chewing and smoking. Most of the cases of head and neck cancers are missed at early stage due to lack of specialist doctor and limited modern diagnostic facility at rural areas. Our aim of regular rural and small town visits is to provide patients with expert consultation and modern diagnostic facilities so that we don’t miss early cancers and treat patients of ear, nose and throat diseases effectively and efficiently. Dr Sushant Joshi visits Sirohi, Pindwara and Kankroli twice every month and renders his services at minimum consultation fee. Dr Joshi also conducts free medical camps at these places at regular basis in collaboration with various charitable organisations.
